Finalists Announced in Rubio’s Battle for the Best Fish Taco
Public Voting Now Open
Rubio’s Coastal Grill is announcing the top ten finalists in the first-ever battle for the next best fish taco. Last month, taco fans submitted their best, original and most delicious fish taco recipes for the chance to come to San Diego, win $1,000 and have their taco featured on Rubio’s menu. The ten finalists are:
- George Abi Habib – Tequila Lima Shrimp
- Felicia Anderson – Sweet and Spicy Shrimp Taco
- Danielle Klein – Jalapeño Lime Rub Fish Taco
- Lindsay Smith – Grilled Mahi Mahi with Mango Habanero Salsa and Avocado Crema
- Monique Navarro – Baja Zang
- Alexis Sloustcher – Blackened Mahi Taco
- Cynthia Phillips – Coconut Shrimp with Mango Salsa
- Erin Miller – Mango Mahi Avocado Taco
- Margee Barry – Fiesta Fried Avocado and Shrimp Taco
- Arthur Knori – Mahi Mahi Fresno Chili Taco
Now, the voting shifts to the public to vote for the top three crave-worthy recipes online at https://rubios.com/fish-taco-battle-vote/. Taco fans can vote from March 20th through April 3rd. The three finalists will be invited to Rubio’s San Diego Test Kitchen during the week of April 17 for a live cook-off for a panel of judges, including the man behind Rubio’s fish taco phenomenon, Ralph Rubio.
