Rubio’s to Open Flagship Restaurant in Oceanside
This Spring, Rubio’s Coastal Grill, the #1 fish taco brand, will reveal its new flagship restaurant in the heart of Oceanside. Located at 4201 Oceanside Blvd., this site had been temporarily closed due to a 2021 fire. As the design team was planning to rebuild, they knew that the reopening for this popular location should reflect a uniquely creative design that celebrates its Baja roots. Inspiration came straight from the Baja taco stands where Rubio’s Co-Founder Ralph Rubio first experienced fish tacos during spring break as a college student 41 years ago.
The new Oceanside location is perfect for gatherings, working lunches, family meals and grabbing a quick meal to go. The interior design features Instagram-worthy wall décor and art, showcasing Ralph’s historic trips to San Felipe. Rubio’s flagship restaurant also features all-new patio seating, perfect for dining outdoors in the beachside town.
“Our goal in creating a flagship Rubio’s in Oceanside was to connect our signature Baja-inspired food, centered around our best-selling Original Fish Taco®, with laid-back, beach vibes reflective of the Baja lifestyle,” said Ralph Rubio. “We wanted to create a warm, distinctively Rubio’s dining experience for the supportive Oceanside community to come back, relax and enjoy. We can’t wait to welcome everyone.”
To celebrate the grand opening, Rubio’s is inviting the community to a party. Fifty percent of all opening day proceeds will be donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Oceanside. The party is open to everyone and will feature live music all day, giveaways, free ice cream tacos and a family friendly ocean craft table for kids of all ages. Plus, during opening week, new Rewards members will receive an exclusive “thank you” surprise offer after purchase.
